NHL trade: Anaheim Ducks acquired more toughness for their offense

Anaheim Ducks and Boston Bruins have made a trade in the NHL. Anaheim acquired forward Jeffrey Viel, 28, in exchange for a conditional 4th round draft pick.
Anaheim holds two 4th round draft picks for 2026. One of the picks was acquired from the Detroit Red Wings and the other from the Philadelphia Flyers. Boston will receive whichever pick is higher in the trade.
Viel brings toughness and grit to Anaheim’s offense. The 97-kilogram agitator has played ten NHL games this season without any points but has accumulated 30 penalty minutes.
Last season, Viel primarily played in the AHL. In 68 games, he recorded 13+24=37 points and amassed an impressive 148 penalty minutes.
