The New Jersey Devils have signed a two-year extension with Swedish goalie Jacob Markström. The annual value of the contract is six million dollars, making the total value 12 million dollars.

Markström, 35, is playing the last year of his current six-year contract. The value of his current contract is also six million dollars per season. Markström’s new contract runs through 2028.

Markström is in his second season with the Devils. He has played four games this season with a save percentage of 83.0. Last season, he played 49 games with a save percentage of 90.0.

In his NHL career, Markström has played 538 regular season games and 31 playoff games. Previously, he has represented the Calgary Flames, Vancouver Canucks, and Florida Panthers.
