NHL team Olympic disaster – Swiss injured star’s season over

On Saturday, terrible news came from the Milano-Cortina Olympic tournament for both Switzerland and NHL team Los Angeles Kings.
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reveals on messaging service X that the star forward Kevin Fiala, who was injured against Canada on Friday while playing for Switzerland, has undergone surgery on his leg in Italy. The injury ends the season for the 29-year-old talent.
This news is a horrific setback for the Kings, who have made significant investments, including the acquisition of Artemi Panarin. Fiala has played 56 games in the NHL this season, with stats of 18+22=40. The Swiss forward is the team’s second-highest scorer after Adrian Kempe.
In two Olympic tournament games, Fiala recorded one assist.
