The New Jersey Devils have signed tryout contracts with four players. Forwards Luke Glendening and Kevin Rooney, as well as goalies Georgi Romanov and Adam Scheel, are joining the Devils for tryouts.

Glendening, 36, has played 864 regular season games (83+83=166) and 50 playoff games (6+4=10) in his NHL career, representing the Detroit Red Wings, Dallas Stars, and for the last two seasons, the Tampa Bay Lightning. Last season, Glendening played 77 regular season games with stats of 4+3 and five playoff games with points of 1+1.

Rooney, 32, has represented the Calgary Flames for the past three seasons. Last season, he recorded 10 points (5+5) in 70 games. Rooney has previously played for the Devils in four different seasons during his career. In the NHL, he has played a total of 330 regular season games (32+28=60) and 15 playoff games (0+2), also representing the New York Rangers.

Romanov, 25, has played ten NHL games with the San Jose Sharks over the last two seasons. His save percentage in those games is 88.8.

Scheel, 26, has not played in the NHL during his career. Last season, he played 14 AHL games with a save percentage of 90.4 and 19 ECHL games with a save percentage of 88.4.
