NHL superstar changed his mind – accepted the trade to Dallas!
Detroit Red Wings captain and star Dylan Larkin is open to considering a trade to the Dallas Stars as well.
According to MLive reporter Ansar Khan, Dallas has been added to the list of teams that Larkin would accept a potential trade to. Previously, the list included the Florida Panthers, Vegas Golden Knights, and Minnesota Wild.
According to Daily Faceoff, the Detroit Red Wings and Dallas Stars have already had preliminary discussions about a potential trade. The site reports that the Red Wings would want 22-year-old forward Wyatt Johnston in return, but the likelihood of this happening is considered low.
Johnston scored 45 goals last season and totaled 86 points. He is regarded as one of the most important future players for the Dallas Stars.
Larkin, 29, has represented the Detroit Red Wings for his entire 11-year NHL career. His contract, which guarantees an annual salary of $8.7 million, is valid for five more seasons. The contract includes a full no-trade clause, allowing the forward to decide which teams he would accept a potential trade to.
