Calgary Flames’ star center Nazem Kadri, 34, is once again in the trade speculation in the NHL.

The Stanley Cup winner, who has represented the Flames for three seasons, is ready to waive the full no-trade clause in his contract if a trade back to the Maple Leafs, where he played from 2009 to 2019, materializes, according to Toronto Sun reporter Terry Koshan.

– According to my sources, Kadri is not going to let the no-trade clause become an obstacle if a move to Toronto happens. On the other hand, Kadri has stated that he enjoys playing in Calgary and does not want to be actively traded, Koshan reports.

Sportsnet‘s Nick Kypreos reports that Kadri would be willing to accept a trade to only one other NHL team besides the Maple Leafs, the Montreal Canadiens.

Kadri’s contract, which includes a seven million dollar annual salary, runs for four more seasons. The experienced forward played 82 games last season, recording 35+32=67 points.
