NHL signed a contract worth over 21 million dollars – arbitration was avoided

Utah Mammoth has signed a five-year extension with forward Jack McBain. The contract is worth a total of $21.25 million, meaning McBain will earn an average of $4.25 million per season under the new deal.
Utah had sought arbitration with McBain, which ultimately was not needed, as the parties quickly reached an agreement on the extension afterward.
McBain, 25, recorded 27 points with 13 goals and 14 assists in 82 games last season in Utah. He has played a total of 241 games in the NHL over the last four seasons, with 35 goals and 47 assists for 82 points.
