The NHL returns to Finland in November when the Carolina Hurricanes and Seattle Kraken face off in two games in Helsinki as part of the Global Series tournament. The games will be played at the Veikkaus Arena on Thursday, November 12, and Saturday, November 14.

Sebastian Aho leads the Hurricanes, which also features Finnish player Jesperi Kotkaniemi. Representing Seattle, which joined the NHL in the 2021-22 season, are Finnish forwards Eeli Tolvanen, Kaapo Kakko, and defender Jani Nyman.

The last NHL games in Finland were seen in November 2024 when the Florida Panthers and Dallas Stars played at the Nokia Arena in Tampere. The previous NHL game in Helsinki took place in November 2018 when the Panthers faced the Winnipeg Jets twice.
