Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby has moved up another notch in the NHL’s all-time assist leaderboard.

Crosby recorded one assist in last night’s game against the Colorado Avalanche. At the same time, the Canadian star’s NHL career assist total increased to 1,110, which places him seventh on the all-time list.

Crosby has surpassed NHL legend Joe Thornton. At the top of the assist leaderboard is overwhelmingly Wayne Gretzky (1,963), followed by Ron Francis (1,249), Mark Messier (1,193), Ray Bourque (1,169), Jaromir Jagr (1,155), and Paul Coffey (1,135).

Next, Crosby is aiming for sixth place, held by Coffey, from whom he is just 25 assists away.
