Several NHL teams are interested in making an offer sheet contract proposal for Anaheim Ducks defenseman Pavel Mintyukov. The 22-year-old Russian defenseman, who is a restricted free agent, has attracted interest from various teams across the league.

According to Puckpedia, several NHL teams have been in contact with Mintyukov’s agent Dan Milstein regarding a potential offer sheet. The site reports that at least one official offer has already been made.

Milstein added to the speculation by posting a video on X where a person is eating popcorn.

– Oh… this is going to get interesting, the post read.

The post has been interpreted as a message that Mintyukov might be signing an offer sheet.

Anaheim’s summer took a sharp turn earlier this week when the Philadelphia Flyers made a five-year, 90 million dollar offer sheet for Leo Carlsson. The Ducks are currently evaluating whether to match the offer. If the team decides not to match, it will receive four first-round draft picks as compensation.

Several teams have approached Mintyukov’s agent @HockeyAgent1 about an offer sheet, and it seems likely at least one is formally offered today.

Mintyukov would then still need to decide if he wants to sign it.
