Calgary Flames’ Swedish defenseman Rasmus Andersson has long been in NHL trade rumors. In recent hours, the speculation around the star defenseman has heated up significantly.

Andersson’s annual salary is $4.55 million. His contract expires at the end of this season.
Andersson will be seen on Sweden’s team at the Milan Olympics. Trades are likely to be completed at the latest before the Olympic tournament, where the defenseman has the chance of injury.
