NHL defender hit Connor McDavid in a vulnerable spot – now a fine has been imposed

The NHL’s Department of Player Safety has fined Vancouver Canucks defenseman Tyler Myers.
In the game against the Edmonton Oilers, Myers struck Connor McDavid in the groin with his stick. The dirty play went unseen by the referees, but now the Department of Player Safety has fined Myers $2,500.
Although the hit surely hurt, McDavid was not seriously injured.
