NHL: Bad news for Finland: Roope Hintz got injured
Dallas Stars’ Roope Hintz was sidelined for four NHL games after the Olympics due to illness. He returned to the lineup in a game against the Colorado Avalanche played on Saturday night Finnish time.
However, Hintz’s return game ended prematurely as he got injured in the second period. He collided with Nathan MacKinnon in the corner and fell awkwardly onto the ice, injuring himself. Hintz was unable to put weight on one leg and had to be helped off the ice.
Dallas announced during the game that Hintz, who is suffering from a lower body injury, would not return to the match. No further details have yet been provided regarding the severity of Hintz’s injury.
This season, Hintz has played 53 games with a total of 15+29=44 points.
