Bad news from the Edmonton Oilers’ camp reached on Tuesday.

The head coach of the Canadian team, Kris Knoblauch, told the media that Kasperi Kapanen will be sidelined from the team’s activities for “several weeks.”

Kapanen, 29, was injured on Sunday in a game against the Detroit Red Wings. The Finnish forward was seen limping and using a knee brace while walking in the arena’s corridors after the game.

Before his injury, Kapanen had recorded two assists in the six games he played.
