NHL: a trade involving a super prospect is underway – here are the interested teams
Seattle Kraken’s 2022 fourth overall pick Shane Wright has entered trade rumors in the NHL. The player’s agent Kurt Overhardt confirms this to Sportsnet.
– I can confirm that we have had positive discussions with GM Jason Botterill, and he has agreed to trade Shane this summer to a team that needs a young top center, Overhardt says.
The Fourth Period’s David Pagnotta reports that Wright has been linked in rumors to at least two teams: the Nashville Predators and the Vancouver Canucks. The Kraken has made it clear that it expects reasonable compensation for Wright.
Wright, 22, recorded 27 points (12+15) in 74 games with the Kraken last season. The season before, he logged 44 points in 79 games.
Wright’s NHL entry-level contract still covers next season.
