NHL: a huge contract has struck again – over 20 million dollars for a five-goal man
The Chicago Blackhawks have signed a contract extension with their young center Oliver Moore.
The 21-year-old American signed a new five-year contract on Thursday, with an average annual salary of $4.25 million. The new contract will take effect next fall.
In the upcoming season, Moore will earn just under $900,000 as part of the final year of his entry-level contract.
Moore is one of the most significant future names in the Blackhawks organization. Chicago selected the speedy center with the 19th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.
Last season, Moore played 51 games in the NHL, recording 5 goals and 14 assists for a total of 19 points.
In the AHL, the forward appeared in nine games, finishing with 6 goals and 3 assists for a total of 9 points.
Overall, Moore has played only 60 regular-season games in the NHL, with 5 goals and 18 assists for a total of 23 points.
