Next season, there will be an outdoor match in the league – here are the teams and the venue

The league will host an outdoor match next season. Kärpät and HIFK will meet in a winter classic on Saturday, December 12, 2026, at the Raksila artificial ice rink.
The event is part of Kärpät’s anniversary year. The club is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year.
Kärpät states in its announcement that a diverse program will be built around the match, so the gates to the event area will open at 3:00 PM. The match will start at 6:00 PM. The detailed schedule and program for the celebration match will be revealed later.
