New information about Sweden’s superstar William Nylander
Sweden opens its campaign in the ice hockey tournament of the Milano-Cortina Olympics on Wednesday evening with a match against Italy.
From the team’s morning practice came encouraging news for Tre Kronor, as star forward William Nylander returned to the ice. The Toronto Maple Leafs superstar was the first on the ice on Wednesday as Sweden prepared for its Olympic opener that evening and practiced with the team’s power play units.
Nylander’s participation in the evening match against Italy will be decided later in the day.
Nylander is one of Sweden’s key players in the top tournament. The NHL star has played 40 games this season with stats of 18+34=52.
Sweden’s competition continues after the Italy game with a day match against Finland starting at 13:10 on Friday.
