The situation of Patrik Laine, who is still without a team in the NHL, continues to spark discussions among hockey fans week after week.

Laine’s name has been linked to the Edmonton Oilers in recent days. In this context, the club’s GM Stan Bowman’s comments on Tuesday immediately added fuel to the speculation surrounding Laine.

The Oilers boss hinted that he is still looking for reinforcements for his team’s offense.

– We have three goalies and a lot of defensemen, so it’s likely that if we acquire a new player, it will be a forward, Bowman revealed to Oilers Now.

Laine’s potential move to the Oilers has been discussed throughout the summer in various hockey media. Especially his right-side shooting threat alongside Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl on the Oilers’ top power play is considered a precise weapon that the team should seize.
