MTV: HIFK’s cult player Micke-Max Åsten has a harsh revelation from the transfer market
HIFK’s cult player Micke-Max Åsten, 33, is facing a major change. He has played his entire professional career at HIFK, but for the next season, the workhorse was not offered a contract extension.
MTV Urheilu’s interview, Åsten also revealed that his work in the league is unlikely to continue.
– There have been inquiries about situations all over the league, but it seems to be a trend that young players are being brought in and the money is tight, Åsten says and confirms that he has not received a single serious contract offer from the league.
– We are now at a crossroads where we have done some thinking that the league could be something else. You never know where the call might come from. However, we are starting to warm up to the idea of going abroad.
Last season, Åsten played 50 games for HIFK and scored 4+3=7 points.
