On social media, Montreal Canadiens fans have been puzzled by the absence of Patrik Laine and Brendan Gallagher from the team photo that was shared on Friday.

In the photo, Canadiens players posed in the locker room for a group shot as Cole Caufield reached the 50-goal milestone this season.

However, Laine and Gallagher were not visible in the picture, which sparked discussion.

After the game, TVA Sports reporter Anthony Martineau quickly revealed that Laine and Gallagher had been present, even though they were not seen in the photo.

– I saw that Gallagher and Laine left the locker room before we went in to talk to the players. So they were in the locker room celebrating their teammates’ victory after the game, but probably left there unaware that such a photo was being taken, Martineau wrote on X.

Laine’s activities are currently being closely monitored, as the Finn last played in October.

The Finn wanted out of the Canadiens mid-season, but he was not traded. Based on videos shared on social media, Laine has nonetheless been in good spirits supporting the team.
