Mikko Rantanen’s NHL team suffers a terrible setback: Star forward undergoes knee surgery – season over!
Mikko Rantanen, Miro Heiskanen and Roope Hintz from the Dallas Stars, represented in the NHL, received some really bad news on Wednesday regarding the team’s championship chances.
The Stars’ star forward Tyler Seguin injured his knee in the game against the New York Rangers on Wednesday night. The Canadian, earning 9.8 million dollars a season, suffers from an anterior cruciate ligament injury and his season ends on the operating table.
Seguin collected 17 points (7+10) in 27 games this season and was the sixth highest scorer on his team at the time of the injury. The setback is particularly crushing for Seguin because he was already sidelined for over 60 games last season due to a hip injury.
