The hot-headed head coach of the New York Islanders, Patrick Roy, demands the head of Finnish star Mikko Rantanen from the Dallas Stars.

Rantanen shoved Islanders defender Aleksandr Romanov from behind at high speed during Wednesday’s NHL round, with only half a minute left in the game. The Russian flew into the boards head first and got injured.

Rantanen received a game misconduct for the incident.

As Rantanen left the ice, Roy reminded the Finn about the teams’ next meeting in New York.

– Why don’t you come talk in New York then!? You’re not f*cking finishing that game, Roy shouted with a red face at Rantanen.

A man calmed down in front of the press

After the game, Roy appeared before the press calmed down. According to the Islanders’ coach, Rantanen should have shown more respect for his opponent.

– When you see the player’s number, you have to slow down. Everyone knows that. You just can’t run the guy over, Roy says.

– I think it was disrespectful. That doesn’t belong in this game, the goaltending legend fired.
