Mikko Rantanen misbehaved himself into the shower – NHL legend yelled with a red face
The Dallas Stars’ five-game winning streak came to an end last night in the NHL. The streak was broken against the New York Islanders with a score of 2-3.
The Finnish stars from Dallas were involved in both teams’ goals. Miro Heiskanen recorded an assist on Jason Robertson’s goal in the first period. Mikko Rantanen, on the other hand, assisted Robertson’s goal at the end of the third period.
Rantanen’s game, however, did not go smoothly. He was sent to the showers at the end of the third period for a dirty hit.
New York Islanders defender Aleksandr Romanov skated for a puck in his own defensive zone. Rantanen gave the Russian defender a two-handed shove from behind, and Romanov crashed dangerously into the boards.
The hottest situation was with legendary goaltender and Islanders head coach Patrick Roy. When Rantanen walked past the bench to the showers, Roy yelled at the Finn with a red face for a long time.
You can watch the videos of Rantanen’s hit and Roy’s rage below.
