The Mestis team KeuPa HT has encountered serious financial difficulties. The club’s financial situation is critical, and finishing the current season is at risk.

The Keuru-based club announces on its website that it will launch the Together Warriors campaign, aimed at securing the completion of the 2026-27 season. The campaign will start on October 6.

Through the campaign, KeuPa seeks financial support from fans, the local community, and businesses. During the campaign, KeuPa will generate additional income through the sale of campaign products, match tickets, season tickets, and fan merchandise, as well as through corporate partnerships.

KeuPa states that it has attempted to balance its finances during the summer and early season through various means. The organization has been strengthened with financial and business expertise, contracts have been renegotiated, and thousands of euros have been cut from the current season’s costs. KeuPa also reports that its partnership sales have been at a good level.

However, these measures have not been sufficient. According to KeuPa, obligations accumulated from previous seasons burden its finances monthly, and the club cannot complete the season without additional income.

KeuPa emphasizes in its statement the importance of its operations beyond the Mestis team. The club highlights, among other things, the player and coach pathway, local youth activities, and its impact on the vitality of Keuruu.

Despite the serious financial situation, KeuPa states that it still believes in its future and its dream of reaching the Liiga. However, the first goal is to secure funding so that the ongoing season can be completed.

KeuPa has played eight matches in this season’s Mestis and collected eight points. It is currently in seventh place in the league.
