Confusing moment in Mestiksen – the goal song surprised everyone
The Mestis match played in Kupittaa, Turku, included a special moment on Saturday.
TUTO scored a goal against Imatran Ketterä, but after Samu Markkula’s goal, the Turku audience heard the iconic goal song of another team from the same city.
After TUTO’s goals, Lättyä pussiin is usually heard in the Kupittaa arena, but this time the TPS goal song Hunajata started playing from the speakers.
We managed to hear the opening notes and the “goal, goal” words of the song sung by Erkki Liikanen until the mistake was noticed and the goal song changed on the fly.
You can see and hear the special incident in the video clip in MTV’s news.
TPS’s men’s representative team plays their league matches in Artukaiset at the Gatorade Center, but other teams from the Palloseura organization are seen in Kupittaa, so the confusion may have arisen from this.
