Megalupaus Matthew Schaefer made a historic feat in the NHL!

New York Islanders’ first-round draft pick Matthew Schaefer, 18, registered an assist as the Islanders defeated the Chicago Blackhawks in a shootout with a score of 3-2.
In his first NHL season, Schaefer has now scored strong points of 9+16=25 in 40 games. At the same time, Schaefer made impressive history, becoming the youngest defenseman in NHL history to reach 25 points. Schaefer broke the 25-point milestone at the age of 18 years and 116 days.
Schaefer is the Islanders’ most effective defenseman. In the team’s internal scoring leaderboard, he is impressively fourth.
