KHL’s goal scorer sparked fierce interest – now signed an NHL contract
The Nashville Predators have signed a one-year entry-level contract with Belarusian forward Vitali Pinchuk.
Pinchuk does not have an NHL draft pick. The 24-year-old forward had a strong KHL season, resulting in at least 15 different NHL teams reportedly being interested in him.
In previous seasons, Pinchuk played for Dinamo Minsk. He recorded impressive stats in the KHL regular season with 31 goals and 35 assists in 65 games, ranking third in the league’s goal scoring and sixth in points.
In the playoffs, Pinchuk finished with 2 goals and 5 assists in eight games.
Pinchuk previously played in North America during the 2019-2020 season. At that time, he represented the Kingston Frontenacs in the junior league OHL and scored 34 points with 13 goals and 21 assists in 54 games.
