The Edmonton Oilers’ Kasperi Kapanen has received some unfortunate news.
Out for over a month due to a lower body injury, Kapanen was close to returning to action. However, he suffered another injury during Thursday’s practice, which will keep him sidelined again.
– At least a week will go by, and possibly several weeks. We will get more information later. He is not returning anytime soon, Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch said on Friday according to NHL’s Finnish website.
Kapanen last played on October 19. He has only played six games this season with 0+2 points.
Edmonton also lost their key player Jack Roslovic to the injured reserve for about two weeks. Roslovic has scored 10+8=18 points in 23 games this season.
