Kasperi Kapanen: Contract extension!

Kasperi Kapanen continues his career in the NHL with the Edmonton Oilers.
The parties signed a one-year extension on Monday, guaranteeing the quick-footed 28-year-old earnings of 1.3 million dollars. Kapanen earned one million dollars per season from his previous contract.
Kapanen arrived at the Oilers from the St. Louis Blues at the beginning of last season. The Finn played a total of 57 regular-season games (5+8=13) and 12 playoff games (3+3=6) for the Canadian team.
In addition to the Blues and Oilers, Kapanen has also represented the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL. In total, the former first-round pick has played 527 regular-season games over ten NHL seasons with stats of 90+132=222.
