Kärpät made huge losses!
Kärpät reported its financial results. Oulun Kärpät Oy group incurred losses of 1.5 million euros last financial year. Its revenue was 33.4 million euros.
The Oulun Kärpät Oy group includes the parent company Oulun Kärpät Oy, which operates in sports and related restaurant business, Qstock Oy, which engages in event business, the Tunturiviihde Oy group, which operates in the restaurant business, and Kiinteistö Oy Raksilan Tekojääkentän Katsomo.
Kärpät states in its announcement that the results were particularly burdened by 1.5 million euros in depreciation.
– As a result of a poorly performed Liiga season, the representative team missed the playoffs for the second consecutive time. Similar to the previous year, the parent company’s revenue fell short of the target, resulting in an operating loss, as stated in Kärpät’s announcement.
Despite the loss, the group’s financial position remains strong. The group’s equity ratio is 58.0% and the corresponding figure for the parent company is 84.1%.
