Juuse Saros receives a harsh rating – comparison to two NHL flop goalies
Nashville Predators’ and the Lions’ star goalkeeper Juuse Saros has had the weakest season of his NHL career so far.
Saros, along with the rest of the team, struggled badly, resulting in the Predators, who made notable summer acquisitions a year ago, falling far from a playoff spot in the NHL.
TSN expert Travis Yost ranked the goaltending tandems of NHL teams for the upcoming season on a scale of 1-5. In the assessment, category 1 represents elite goaltending, while category 5 indicates the bottom tier.
In Yost’s assessment, Saros and the Predators were placed in category 4. The journalist compares the Finnish star to two NHL flop goalies.
– At the center of Nashville’s decline was Saros’s decline. Saros was previously a prime example of the organization’s consistency, but last season’s results align with those of Pittsburgh’s Tristan Jarry and San Jose’s Aleksandar Georgiev.
– Let’s hope that Saros’s poor year was a true anomaly and that he returns to his starting level. Otherwise, we will soon be talking about a rebuild in Nashville, Yost harshly critiques the high-paid Finn.
Among NHL goalies, the top category assessment was given to the New York Islanders, New York Rangers, and Winnipeg Jets in Yost’s papers.
