Joel Armia in top form: humbled the opponent again in the NHL
The Los Angeles Kings secured a 4-2 victory over the Utah Mammoth last night. The hero of the match for the Kings was Joel Armia, who scored two goals.
In his first goal, Armia took advantage of the opponent’s five-man confusion. When the Kings won the puck in their own defensive zone, Armia rushed immediately into the attack, leaving the opposing defenders behind him gliding like flies in tar. The Finnish forward broke through alone and shot the puck into the net through the goalkeeper’s equipment.
This was not Armia’s first impressive goal of the season. Earlier, he made headlines when he humiliated Montreal Canadiens’ Lane Hutson.
Last night, Armia scored his second goal into an empty net, sealing the Kings’ victory.
With his goals last night, Armia ended his six-game pointless streak. In 29 games this season, he has now recorded stats of 7+6=13.
