Jarmo Kekäläinen in action – made two trades in the NHL!
Buffalo Sabres’ Finnish GM Jarmo Kekäläinen has made two trades in the NHL.
Buffalo has acquired defensemen Luke Schenn and Logan Stanley from the Winnipeg Jets. In return, Winnipeg receives defenseman Jacob Bryson, forward Isak Rosen, a 4th round draft pick for this year’s draft, and a 2nd round draft pick for 2027. Winnipeg retains half of Schenn’s $2.75 million annual salary.
Additionally, Buffalo has made a trade with the New York Rangers. Forward Sam Carrick is moving to Buffalo, while the Rangers receive 3rd and 6th round draft picks for this summer’s draft.
Schenn, 36, has played 46 games this season in Winnipeg with 1+6 points. Having played over 1,100 games in the NHL, Schenn has won the Stanley Cup twice with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021.
Stanley, 27, was representing Winnipeg for his sixth season. He has played 59 games this season with a scoring line of 9+12=21.
Carrick, 34, recorded 4+6=10 points in 60 games with the Rangers this season. He has previously played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Anaheim Ducks, and Edmonton Oilers.
