Aleksander Barkov‘s injury has sparked a lot of discussion in the NHL. The captain of the Florida Panthers injured his knee in a game against the San Jose Sharks.

Now there is bad news regarding the Finnish star’s situation.

– The Panthers have placed Aleksander Barkov on the long-term injured reserve list. They are still unclear about the severity of the injury, writes NHL reporter Tim Reynolds on X.

– This means that Barkov will be out for at least ten games or 24 days.

Knee issues also overshadowed Barkov’s previous season. At that time, the injury kept him out of the lineup for the entire regular season.
