Insider source: A high-paid NHL center is being attempted to be traded again!
The forward Casey Mittelstadt, traded to the Boston Bruins last spring at the trade deadline, may soon change scenery again.
According to sources from RG, the Bruins did not intend to keep Mittelstadt with the team for long, but rather to trade the American forward as soon as possible.
The Bruins acquired Mittelstadt in March from the Colorado Avalanche. In return, veteran forward Charlie Coyle and a 6th round draft pick (2026) went the other way.
– I don’t know how many rumors he has been involved in, but I heard Mittelstadt was on the trading block even before the Bruins’ season ended, an anonymous NHL executive revealed to RG reporter James Murphy.
Mittelstadt’s three-year contract worth $17.25 million with Colorado expires next summer. The American recorded a disappointing 4+2 points in 18 games last season while wearing a Bruins jersey.
