The Lions rolled to a 4-1 victory against Sweden on Friday in the second match of the Olympic group stage.

The Swedish newspaper Expressen believes that Tre Kronor experienced a miscarriage of justice in the match. The paper claims that Anton Lundell scored the winning goal with a high stick. In its report, Expressen presents a picture that allegedly shows Lundell making an illegal hit on the puck.

An Expressen reporter even showed the picture to Sweden’s goalkeeper Filip Gustavsson after the game.

– We need to look into this. Somehow the puck bounces up and then tilts a bit. I don’t quite understand how it bounces up. I need to see the situation in slow motion to understand what happened, Gustavsson said.

Expressen also contacted referee expert Thomas “Kuben” Andersson and showed him the picture. He did not provide a strong opinion on the matter.

– If he [Lundell] hits the puck in the picture, it’s not a goal. If he hits the puck below the crossbar, it is a goal.
