In Jokers, the door swings: Six players out – including the Finnish champion
Returning to the League for the upcoming season, Helsinki Jokerit is celebrating its roster extensively before the upcoming “super season.” The club announced on Wednesday the departure of six players.
Among these, the most notable is the Finnish champion defender Otso Rantakari, who has played nearly 400 League matches. Additionally, the club will part ways with Ville Vainikainen, Jami Virtanen, Hugo Rikkilä, Okko Kangasniemi, and Matias Rajaniemi, all of whom have played over 400 League matches in their careers.
Previously, Jokerit announced the departures of Otto Karvinen, Teemu Henritius, Niilo Kaipinen, Eetu Anttila, Simo Heinonen, and Onni Korkka.
Jokerit is assembling a notable League roster for the next season. According to various media reports, the club is set to sign League stars such as Patrick Curry, Eetu Tuulola, Patrik Virta, Antti Kalapudas, Henri Nikkanen, and Maxime Fortier.
