Iltalehti reports that former hockey player Siim Liivik is moving to the airwaves as a host for Radio City.

According to IL, Liivik will be heard as the host of Radio City’s Afternoon show. Liivik commented to Iltalehti that the position is a “tryout” for a couple of weeks.

– As long as it’s not a lukewarm show. That’s an important value for me. I put my soul into it every time I’m in the studio. Let’s be honest, tackle issues, and hit the gas.

Liivik has been a visible figure in hockey broadcasts after his playing career, so working in media is familiar territory for the former forward.

Liivik, 37, serves as an expert for MTV’s SM-liiga broadcasts.
