Hilarious reaction: William Nylander went crazy over the NHL jackpot – “Are you f*cking serious?”
The Toronto Maple Leafs, who had a disappointing season in the NHL, hit the jackpot earlier this month by winning the NHL draft lottery, securing the right to select first in this summer’s NHL draft.
The popular BarDown hockey channel has now released a video of the moment when Toronto’s star players William Nylander and Matthew Knies heard the massive news for the team’s future for the first time.
– We won the draft lottery! Are you f*cking serious? Go to the NHL’s website or whatever, Nylander urged Knies after hearing the news.
Moments later, the duo confirmed that it was not a prank – the Maple Leafs had indeed won the draw.
– Oh my God, Nylander exclaimed, bursting into laughter.
– This is crazy! This is insane, the Swedish star continued.
Winning the draft lottery essentially means that Toronto will select super prospect Gavin McKenna as the first player in the NHL draft event in June.
McKenna is regarded as one of the top forward prospects in recent years, and he is expected to significantly change the direction of Toronto’s future.
