HIFK’s star forward: long suspension
The league has punished HIFK’s star forward Iiro Pakarinen due to events in Thursday’s KooKoo match.
Pakarinen was handed a three-match suspension for a hit on KooKoo’s Samuel Valkeejärvi that was deemed worthy of a match penalty. The reason for the suspension was a hit to the head, neck, and cervical area.
Pakarinen had just returned to the lineup after a long injury absence. The match was only his fourth in the league this season for the 34-year-old goal scorer.
