HIFK’s long-time forward Micke-Max Åsten has found a new club after not playing at the start of the season.

The Spartiates de Marseille, playing in the French top league, announces that they have signed a contract with Åsten for the remainder of the season.

Åsten, 33, played 50 regular season games last season for HIFK with points of 4+3 and three playoff games with stats of 1+0. He played a total of 541 regular season games (32+47=79) and 90 playoff games (7+13=20) for HIFK over 13 seasons.

Also playing for Marseille are Finnish players Kim Strömberg, Kalle Myllymaa, and Elias Ruusu.
