The Swedish national ice hockey team is facing a difficult World Championship tournament. Sweden’s head coach Sam Hallam revealed in an interview with Expressen that there will hardly be much help from the NHL this time.

– Many NHL players are really worn out. So let’s see how many NHL players we choose and how many players we have in the team from Europe. I believe we will have more players from Europe than we have had in the last two years, Hallam revealed.

– We always try to talk about the players who are present and respect them, but there is always great interest in those players who said “no thanks”.

Hallam is already accustomed to the criticism that comes with assembling the team from previous years.

– We could have a sign on the wall of the federation’s office that says: “You always choose the wrong team.”

During Hallam’s coaching tenure, Sweden’s success has been poor, and the team has only won two bronze medals.
