Harsh text about Patrik Laine’s situation: “I don’t believe that will happen”
The start of NHL training camps is just around the corner. Still, Patrik Laine is without a contract.
During the summer, there were rumors that the New York Islanders were interested in Laine’s services. A reporter following the Islanders, Stefen Rosner, made a harsh revelation about the Finnish forward’s situation.
– The only discussion I’ve heard about Laine took place on the first day of free agency and only on the first day of free agency, Rosner writes.

Nevertheless, Rosner does not believe Laine would be a suitable addition for the Islanders.
– Yes, Laine can help on the power play, but he struggles in his own zone, and I don’t know how well he would fit into Pete DeBoer’s system.
– If Laine were to get a tryout contract, he would really need to stand out to be offered a contract.
