Former NHL top draft pick moves to the Florida Panthers

Florida Panthers have signed a one-year contract with American forward Luke Kunin. The financial details of the contract are not yet known.
Kunin, 27, started last season with the San Jose Sharks, playing 63 games with a total of 11+7=18 points. He was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets towards the end of the season, where he played 12 games without scoring.
Kunin is the 15th overall pick in the first round of the 2016 NHL Draft by the Minnesota Wild. In his NHL career, he has played 434 regular-season games (73+69=142) and 14 playoff games (4+1). In addition to Minnesota, San Jose, and Columbus, Kunin has also represented the Nashville Predators.
In his best NHL season (2019-2020), Kunin recorded 31 points in 63 games with 15+16=31.
