Florida Panthers in player trades – aiming for a familiar NHL veteran
Anaheim Ducks and Florida Panthers have agreed to a trade involving two players in the NHL on Monday.
Florida acquired the rights to experienced defenseman Radko Gudás. Heading the other way to Anaheim is forward A.J. Greer.
The 36-year-old Gudas, known for his hard hits, spent three seasons with the Ducks, serving as the team’s captain in the last two seasons. The Czech defenseman played 52 games in the recently concluded regular season, recording 2+11=13 points.
Having played over 900 NHL games, including regular season and playoffs, Gudas returns to a familiar environment, as he represented the Panthers from 2020 to 2023.
Anaheim, on the other hand, receives the rights to 29-year-old Greer, who played in Florida for two seasons. The forward scored 17+15=32 points in 78 regular season games last season.
Greer is also currently without a valid NHL contract.
