NHL fans are in for a rare treat on Monday. The Florida Panthers will face the Buffalo Sabres at an unusually good viewing time for Finns.

The broadcast starts on the free channel Star at 20:05. The match can also be followed for free on Veikkaus-tv.

The early game time is due to North American holidays. In Canada, Thanksgiving is celebrated, and in the United States, Columbus Day.

From Florida, the Finnish players include Anton Lundell, Eetu Luostarinen, and Niko Mikkola. The injured Aleksander Barkov will be absent.

Buffalo’s Konsta Helenius is expected to be in the lineup. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen‘s participation will be confirmed later, as Buffalo has not yet announced its starting goaltender.

Other NHL games on Monday will require staying up late as usual. The New Jersey Devils–Ottawa Senators game starts at 02:00 Finnish time, and the Minnesota Wild–Vegas Golden Knights game at 03:00.
