Finland's NHL star was spotted at a bar right after the loss - this video sparked a social media uproar!

The Finnish goalie of the Eastern Conference’s jumbo team, the Buffalo Sabres, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, is in the spotlight.

On Thursday, a hockey fan posted a video on X, where Luukkonen is seen spending time in a bar after the loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins. The video has already garnered over 1.5 million views within a day.

– Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen was at the Forty Thieves bar at 00:45, straight from the flight after the loss against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Is this the kind of accountability the Buffalo Sabres expect from their players? the fan who posted the video expressed on X.

– And this man is being paid 4.75 million dollars a year, the same fan continued.

Luukkonen’s actions have sparked a lot of discussion on social media. However, most fans seem to be understanding.

– What did you expect? That players would be at the rink practicing after midnight following a loss? Players have social lives too. They have a day off tomorrow. Why is this even being discussed? One fan wondered about the post.

– The Buffalo Sabres can be blamed for many things. This is not one of them. When I leave work, I do what I want. Last time I checked, this is still a free country. UPL should not be an exception, another hockey fan came to defend the Finn.

This season, Luukkonen has played only seven games due to injury, with a poor save percentage of 89.1. The 26-year-old Finnish player’s name has been circulating in NHL trade rumors lately.
