Finland’s NHL monster made the megastar look silly – Nathan MacKinnon imitated Sidney Crosby
The Colorado Avalanche continues its strong performance in the NHL playoffs and is just one win away from advancing. The team secured a 4–2 away victory against the Los Angeles Kings last night and now leads the series 3–0.
The Avalanche took the lead in the first period with a goal from Gabriel Landeskog. The Kings stayed in the game for a long time, but in the third period, Artturi Lehkonen’s shorthanded goal gave the visitors a decisive lead.
Adrian Kempe brought the home team within one goal before Brock Nelson sealed the victory into an empty net.
Helenius punished – MacKinnon imitated Crosby
The most talked-about moment of the game occurred in the third period. The Kings’ Finnish giant Samuel Helenius gave Nathan MacKinnon a light cross-check, after which the Avalanche star forward dramatically fell to the ice.
The referees deemed that MacKinnon exaggerated the contact and gave him a penalty for diving. Helenius, on the other hand, received a two-minute penalty for interference.
