Erik Haula changes teams in the NHL – hefty contract
Erik Haula is changing teams in the NHL. The Finnish center leaving the Nashville Predators will continue his career with the Los Angeles Kings.
The 34-year-old Haula has signed a two-year contract with the Kings, worth a total of 7.2 million dollars. Haula will earn 3.6 million dollars per season from the new contract.
Known as a versatile two-way center, the Finnish player has been valued especially for his penalty killing, faceoff skills, and leadership.
In the recently concluded season, Haula played 81 regular season games and recorded 14+24=38 points. During his NHL career, he has also represented the Minnesota Wild, Vegas Golden Knights, Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers, Nashville Predators, Boston Bruins, and New Jersey Devils.
Having played over 800 NHL regular season games, Haula brings a wealth of experience and versatility to the Kings. He is expected to compete for a spot in the team’s top three centers and carry significant responsibility in special situations.
